Why did my Dealer's price, mileage edits disappear?

  1. Dealer didn't click 'Save' or the session timed out before they saved (limit is 60 min.). Edits will have to be re-entered.
  2. The dealer blanked out the field then clicked save. VinMotion won't register blanks in the numeric fields. Replace the value with 0 then save and the page should refresh with an empty field.
  3. Vehicle Override Primary is set to another system. For example, if Internet Price has a Primary override of DSPolling, any price that came through in the polled file will override prices entered in VinMotion. Vehicle Overrides can be checked in VinMotion under System Preferences -> Settings -> ... -> Vehicle Override. They can be checked in DS Insight by pulling up the dealership and selecting the Override tab.
  4. Edits were changed/removed by another user, the rep, or by Polling. The Edit History in the Actions menu for that vehicle, Web Plus, or the VIN History in DSPlus can tell who/what made the changes.
