Why aren't some of my vehicles being clipped like the others? (update 10/30/17)

1. Clipping can be ordered for New, Used, Certified, or All vehicles. Ordering Used does not automatically apply to Certified. Verify that the correct vehicles were selected in the clipping order in DS Insight under Toolbox -> Clipping. Select the Franchise number for the dealership. The Dealer drop-down box will list the dealers for that market. Those highlighted in green have Clipping ordered and will show the date of the order (new orders take 7 business days). Click on the dealership name to see the Clipping rules in place for that dealer. If the rules are active, make sure the vehicle matches the criteria in the rules. 2. Clipping defaults to ASW-uploaded photos. If a dealer has DIY service and uploads some photos through IVM or edits photos in IVM after they are uploaded, IVM takes control of the photos and clipping won't apply. Dealers who upload or edit photos regularly should have the DIY clipping option turned on to make sure those images get clipped. The Market Manager can turn on DIY Clipping through Insight. NOTE: Clipping is strongly discouraged for dealers using photo overlay rules. Clipping will not run if a photo overlay rule has touched the vehicle. 3. Photos to be clipped upload into a queue and are handled in the order in which they come in. After the initial setup, photos will be clipped as they are added in 1-2 business days. If photos are re-uploaded, the original request is deleted and the new upload is put at the end of the queue. This is because clipping assumes the last photos in are updates. If a rep or dealer keeps re-uploading when there is a delay in clipping, the result is that the photos will keep getting pushed to the back of the line. NOTE 2: Clipping won't automatically apply to existing photos after the service is active. Market Managers need to either specify that they want existing vehicles clipped in the Notes when they create a Clipping rule, or email ds-clipping@drivedominion.com with the request. 4. Clipping will not run for a vehicle which doesn't have a SystemWarrantyKey applied. You can check this in Web Plus by pulling up the VIN. There is a SystemWarrantyKey field at the lower right of the Vehicle page.
