Why are my Dodge RAM trucks VIN-decoding as RAM RAM?

We've had several reports of this. Below is the answer we received from Data One, our VIN-decode software provider: In 2011, the Dodge Rams were re-branded by the manufacturer. In 2010 we sent an email to all clients to make them aware of this. Due to the re-branding the make and model name will be RAM. This is not something we will be changing on end. There is now and has been previously a Ram Van that follows the same naming conventions (1500-3500) as the Ram Truck making it necessary to have the word "Pickup" in the model name. From a data integrity perspective, we need to leave it in there.
