Trim - DS Field Rep, DSPolling, IVM, No Override
Changing a selected product will re-apply the existing values.
** By default, every dealership's secondary override will be set to "No Override". What does "No Override" mean? There is no preset product to own those values, so the values could alternate between different products, acting as a last-one-in wins scenario.
Primary / Secondary
The Primary setting will determine the final value if there is a value for that product. The Secondary setting will only be used if there is no Primary setting value.
Example:
A dealer has Polling, VM and RapidLot. A VIN's Price is being researched. The recommended settings would be:
Primary=IVM (VinMotion)
Secondary=DS Polling
If there is a Price from VM, it will be applied and held.
If there is not a Price from VM, the Polling Price will be used (if there is one).
If there is not a Price from either the Primary or Secondary products, the last-one-in style will be used.
If the settings are:
Primary=DS Polling
Secondary=IVM
If there is a Price from Polling, it will be applied and held.
If there is not a Price from Polling, the VM Price will be used (if there is one) - UNTIL a Polling price comes in.
Advanced Settings
There are two (2) sets of features:
New/Used/Certified: The vehicle override settings can be setup differently for new vs. used vs. certified vehicles. Un-check the "Apply to New, Used and/or Certified vehicles." option on the Vehicle Overrides page in VM. This will open up separate tabs for each category which can be set separately.
FAQs
-
Why is RapidLot data getting applied, even though Polling is selected?
-
The polling data will only get applied the next time polling runs, so there might be a time delay before the correct data gets applied.
-
-
Why are some prices 0, when before there would not be?
-
If the data coming in (e.g. from polling) indicates a vehicle price of 0, that 0 value will get applied.
