"The Request Failed With HTTP Status 403: Forbidden" error.
If ASW Uploads or Downloads fail with the DotNet35FWWrapper error "The Request Failed With HTTP Status 403: Forbidden", check the following: 1. Launch the browser and see if they can access a website (it needs to be one they don't normally use to prevent getting an old, cached page). If it won't load, check their internet connection and firewall. 2. Check the version of Microsoft .Net Framework - they need to have version 3.5, not 4.0. In Windows 7 go to Start -> Control Panel and select 'Programs and Features'. on the upper left of this page, click on the 'Turn Windows Features on or off' link on the left side of the screen. You will get a Windows Features popup window. Microsoft .NET Framework will be in the list. It should have version 3.5.1 displayed and the box to the left should be checked. Click the plus-sign to the left of the box to expand that section. Both subordinate boxes should be checked as well. NOTE: if they have version 4.0, .NET Framework will have to be uninstalled. Once the installation is complete, download version 3.5 from DS Insight and install that version. It is located under Marketing -> Autostik -> Software Downloads and is labeled 'dotnetfx35.exe'. The computer will have to be rebooted after the installation. In Windows XP, go to Start -> Control Panel and select 'Add or Remove Programs'. Scroll down to Microsoft .NET Framework. It may show several versions. The last one in the list should be 3.5 SP1. If the last one in the list is a prior version, download version 3.5 from DS Insight and install. It is located under Marketing -> Autostik -> Software Downloads and is labeled 'dotnetfx35.exe'. The computer will have to be rebooted after the installation. 3. Check their Local Area Network (LAN) settings. They should be set to 'Automatically detect settings' NOT 'Use a proxy server for your LAN'. In IE8, go to Tools -> Internet Options. From the Connections tab, click LAN Settings.
