Tablet PIN requirements

After the Knox update on 8/19/24, users are being prompted to create a four digit PIN which they must use to gain access to the tablet. Additional Features *Users will be required to change the PIN every 90 days. *The PIN cannot match the last two PIN's entered. *If entered incorrectly 5 times you will be required to call support to unlock the tablet. -------------------------------- If anyone calls in saying they are locked out of the tablet's PIN/Password, Support should perform the following steps...... 1. Log into Knox 2. Click on 'Device' in the left menu 3. Ask the user for their IMEI and search for it in the 'IMEI / MEID or Serial Number' search field at the top of the screen. If they don't know their IMEI (they will no longer be able to retrieve it from the tablet screen b/c they are locked out) they will have to take off the back cover of the tablet, remove the battery and the IMEI is listed on a white sticker. (This is if the user's name is not associated with the device in Knox.) 4. Once the IMEI is found click on the checkbox next to it and select the 'Device Command' button at the top. 5. Select 'Device' in the left menu and then 'Unlock Device' and select OK. 6. If they have a good internet connection it will unlock the device fairly quickly (within a minute or two). If they don't have internet it will unlock it fairly quickly after joining one. Once it unlocks the user will be required to create a new PIN and it cannot be one of the last two PIN's or in sequential order. NOTE: if the above procedure does not work. notify Hardware.
