SMS (DS Mobile) Setup procedures
Here is the process that needs to be followed. 1, Fill out the SMS Set-Up form completely and submit. The online form is located in DS Insight off the Toolbox tab or at https://www.quickbase.com/db/bfrhpfuke (the paper forms are not to be used unless the online form is down) 2. Fill out the necessary Quickbase forms for a new SMS order. 3. Order the SMS services for the dealer in IVM. Here are some common issues: -Even if the dealer is not a DS customer, an IVM account must be created so a Dealer Lot Key can be created. -SMS Service is not ordered in IVM. After Step 1, the SMS service must be ordered for the dealer in IVM. It can be found under the �Websites� tab in the Service Wizard. - Training Dates are not provided Two training dates need to be entered on the form. Without that AMS will not contact the dealer to explain how to use their SMS services. -Where the data is coming from. If they are a DS customer and we have both new and used that is easy, just enter DS in the Data Access Information Box for New and Used. -If DS has the used and the dealer wants their new inventory on their mobile site, the attached Vendor Form must be completed. -If we have no data in our system, then the Vendor Form must be completed. (There are only two ways we can obtain data for a dealer, from our inventory or from SelectQu. So if we don�t have it the Vendor Form must be completed so SelectQu can get it.) If the forms are not completed and filled out correctly, they will be returned to the field so they can be completed correctly. If services are not ordered in IVM, we will send an email notifying that services were not ordered and need to be.
