Setting up printers for AS-IS pre-printed labels
For Pre-Printed As-Is labels: ---------------------------------------- In RLWeb: open the existing template Adjust the label and test the printing Turn on the stock background (allows visibility to the pre-printed content) Align the elements/check marks to corresponding areas of the background Set background back to none (once pieces are aligned, the background should be turned off before saving the template Save-as with printer model number in template name (ex: As-Is_preprint_M402n where HP M402n printer in use) Download the template to RapidLot Mobile and print a test label for confirmation. IMPORTANT: field rep must change to the new template for that dealer ***Once the alignment is set, the test print from RLWeb can be different from the print from RLMobile. ALWAYS run a test from RLMobile to confirm. Things to note: --------------------- roughly 90+% of the printers in use are under one of two main HP printer model lines. HP printers more reliably follow the alignment set on the templates when aligned. Setting and checking the alignment takes a few minutes, but once updated the template use is pretty much "set and forget" assuming the user continues to use the same printer model. The instructions are also usable for the smaller number of Brother printers in use, though I would suggest the MMs closely double check a test print from the tablet once they have a Brother-specific sample template ready. -provided by the Rapidlot Product Manager
