Printer Issues in RapidLot
To make sure the tablets are on a kiosk version with the Noku app removed>while in kiosk click on the info button at bottom left>Kiosk version will be listed on the pop up screen. It should be on version 1.3.2 or later. If the version is correct and printing in kiosk is still an issue the following should be done: 1. For HP printers: Exit Kiosk > Settings > Connections > More connection settings > Printing > un-toggle all print services and toggle HP Print service. > Tap on HP Print Service. > Un-plug the Printer USB and plug it back in > A pop-up should ask how you would like to manage this device, have the rep select HP Print service and tap "Always." > Tap on HP print service and verify the printer is showing. 2. Unplug printer from tablet>turn power off on printer>unplug printer from power source>reboot tablet>once tablet is rebooted and in kiosk mode plug in printer to power and turn on>once printer cycles up plug it into the tablet>If tablet recognizes printer try to print. If still unable to print within kiosk mode provide support the following information: 1. Are you printing via USB, Bluetooth, or wifi? We should only be printing via USB cable connected to the USB hub. 2. Provide IMEI of the tablet (info button bottom left>exit kiosk>IMEI will be listed). 3. Provide the make/model of printer. (HP p2035's are not supported). If they setup a printer outside of kiosk they will have to set it up again while in kiosk and if you were able to resolve the printing issues within the kiosk they should be good to print.
