My vehicle was just added to inventory - why is it showing an Age much older than the day it was added?

This typically happens when the vehicle is added through Poll'N'Post. When the vehicle posts to inventory, the Stock Date from the Polling file sets the vehicle Age. There is no vehicle override to prevent this. The dealership should use the date the vehicle was added to inventory as the Stock Date in their DMS to prevent this issue. They can set up separate fields such as 'Order Date' or 'Delivery Date' if they need to track those dates in the DMS.
