How can I put a phone number on my photos in VinMotion?
This can be done with a photo overlay. NOTE: we do not recommend using overlays if you are using Clipping service because they will not apply correctly or can cause Clipping to re-run resulting in an additional charge. If you use Clipping, please talk to your Market Manager about adding the information another way. 1. Log into https://vinmotion.vehicledata.com. 2. Click on 'System Preferences' and select 'Settings' from the menu. 3. On the Settings page, click on the ... tab and select 'Photo Overlay'. 4. You will get an "Open Design" popup window on the Photo Overlays page. Click the black "Blank Design" button at the bottom left. This will bring up the overlay design page. 5. In the ToolBox box, click the down arrow to the right of "Free Text". This will reveal a black "Add FreeText" button. Click on the button and you will see "New Free Text Element" appear in the Overlay box to the left of the Toolbox menu. 6. Right-click on the "New Free Text Element" text and select Edit from the menu. 7. Change "New Free Text Element" in the text box to the phone number you wish to add. The Format, Font Family, and Font Size drop-down boxes at the top of the text box will let you set the font and size. The letter A underlined in black on the right side will let you set the color. Once the number looks the way you want it to, click 'Save' at the top left of the text box to save the changes. 8. Put your cursor over the top of the phone number and hold down the left mouse button. This will let you drag the number to the position you want it to appear on the photos. 9. Once it is positioned correctly, click the green Save button. A 'Save Design' box will pop up. In the 'Name:' field, put a name for the overlay (something easy to remember, like Phone Number) and click the black Save button. 10. Now, go to the Photos and Video page (off the Vehicle Details Page) for one of your vehicles. On the Edit tab, click the "Show Overlays" button. Your new overlay should be there. You can drag it to the appropriate photo to apply the overlay. Click Save to update the system with the changes.
