"Error 3 occurred. Error occurred downloading billing file" (updated 6/24/10)
Go to Start -> Control Panel -> Administrative Tools -> Services. Make sure the Automatic Update (Windows Update in Windows 7) is not started. Scroll down to Windows Firewall and make sure that feature is not started. Go back to Autostik. Go to File -> Download -> Employee Information and download the employee data. Try the download again. If the error comes back up: On your own computer, go to F:\Common\Public\AS\Personal\### (where ### is the Franchise/COS number). Look in the Billing folder for a .zip folder with the dealership Field ID on it. If the folder is missing or empty, that is the source of the error. If this is not a new lot or the rep is not on a brand new laptop, have the rep back-date to the last day the lot was serviced and upload that lot. This should put the Billing file back on the F-drive. Once that is done, they should be able to download with no errors. For a new lot or if the rep has a new laptop without any prior billing information, a billing file can be created using the following steps: 1. Go to http://172.16.1.144/support/ and select 'Create Billing File'. 2. Put in the Field ID for the dealership (this can be found in DSPlus). 3. Select the Franchise/COS number. Click 'Create Billing File'. 4. The screen will refresh and you will get "Billing file created:" with a link to the file. It will be a zip file named with the Field ID. 5. Click on the link and select Save File. This will save it to the Downloads folder under My Documents on your computer. 6. Save the file to the Personal folder for that Franchise or COS using the path below (XXX is the Franchise or COS number): F:\Common\Public\AS\Personal\XXX\Billing 7. Have the rep download the lot again to update the file in the laptop.
