DIY Batch Photo Upload - avoiding errors (update 8/22/16)
Limit is 150mb per set of photos (we recommend 100mb or less - a very good internet connection is needed for 150mb and we can't guarantee it won't time out). Photos should be sized 2mp (4 x 3 ratio) - this is slightly larger than the super-sized photos and will provide good resolution and allow for a good number of photos to go through in the file. NOTE - Please recommend that they use the convention vin-#.jpg. We have had issues when people use other methods, such as vin(#). Also, if they are uploading more than 9 photos, numbering the first nine in a convention of 01, 02, etc never uploads the photos out of order. **** More details on naming conventions are below. NOTE2 -- You can upload entire folders (make sure the folder is named with the stock number or VIN), as well as upload zip files. Both of these options minimize, if not eliminate, having to rename individual files.***** When uploading photos in Batch mode for DIY dealers in IVM, there are limits to the naming conventions allowed for the photo files: Acceptable file formatting for Batch Photo uploads: vin-1.jpg vin-(1).jpg vin-1-anything.jpg vin-1_anything.jpg vin-1#anything.jpg vin-1 anything.jpg vin_1.jpg vin_(1).jpg vin_1-anything.jpg vin_1_anything.jpg vin_1#anything.jpg vin_1 anything.jpg vin#1.jpg vin#(1).jpg vin#1-anything.jpg vin#1_anything.jpg vin#1#anything.jpg vin#1 anything.jpg vin 1.jpg vin (1).jpg vin 1-anything.jpg vin 1_anything.jpg vin 1#anything.jpg vin 1 anything.jpg stock-1.jpg stock-(1).jpg stock-1-anything.jpg stock-1_anything.jpg stock-1#anything.jpg stock-1 anything.jpg stock_1.jpg stock_(1).jpg stock_1-anything.jpg stock_1_anything.jpg stock_1#anything.jpg stock_1 anything.jpg stock#1.jpg stock#(1).jpg stock#1-anything.jpg stock#1_anything.jpg stock#1#anything.jpg stock#1 anything.jpg stock 1.jpg stock (1).jpg stock 1-anything.jpg stock 1_anything.jpg stock 1#anything.jpg stock 1 anything.jpg
